Canvas Course – Student Privacy Notice

Why we have your information
I-India receives your name, university email address, section and faculty information from the
university to provide you with access to the designated Canvas course for which you have
enrolled.

How your information is used
Your information is used to create and administer your Canvas course access, support your
participation, communicate with you about the course where necessary, and deliver the
associated educational activities. 

Information within the course
Depending on the course design, Canvas may record information relating to your participation,
such as course activity, assignments, quizzes, or other content that you submit.

AI Learning Assistant
Some courses may include an AI Learning Assistant to support your learning. Please use the AI
Learning Assistant only for course-related learning activities and do not enter personal,
sensitive, confidential, or unnecessary identifying information. I-India does not store
conversations with its AI Learning Assistant.

Zoom sessions and polls
The Zoom sessions involve registration, attendance tracking, recordings, chat, captions, polls,
and other participation features where you may be required to submit your name and university
email address details.

Please take care when submitting information
Please do not include sensitive, confidential or unnecessary personal information in
assignments, discussions, surveys or other course activities unless specifically required for the
course.

Canvas LMS
The course is delivered through Canvas LMS. Canvas may process information associated with
your use of the platform in accordance with its applicable privacy policies.
